AKATA: ERGONOMICS

About the Designer:

Layla Akata Paglinawan is the founder and creative director of AKATA: ERGONOMICS and is currently studying Fashion Design and Merchandising at De La Salle College of Saint Benilde in Manila. Growing up abroad, and now residing in San Juan city; she has had a recurring problem growing up as a gamer, and it’s that her back hurts when trying to enjoy her hobby. 

As a fashion design student she has made it her responsibility to find ways for other gamers like herself a comfortable, yet affordable solution to their problems while combatting contemporary problems like musculoskeletal health disorders.

About the Brand:

AKATA: ERGONOMICS is a collection that provides Ready-to-wear garments with built-in ergonomic boosts for gamers who play 'til sunrise; making it so they can enjoy longer, stay comfy, and dodge those long-term health issues. 

The brand aims to build a future that shapes people’s health through ergonomic garments without the limitation of premium pricing. Lessening the prominence of Musculoskeletal Health Disorders in the workplace and enabling comfort during recreational activities.
