About the Designer:

Trinity Gemora is the founder and designer behind the brand Moreya, a bag-shoe label that integrates culture and modern fashion through playful fashion accessories. The aspiring fashion designer has a primary focus on bag-shoe design and fashion merchandising under De La Salle- College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB). The various art forms and cultural identity shaped the designer to pursue creative works and to integrate heritage into daily life, inspiring the concept behind the brand, Moreya. The inspirations behind her designs stem from her surroundings and the little joys of daily life. Consequently, culture is one of the biggest factors in her design process, with a mindfulness of cultural appreciation and approachability for the modern Filipino. With every piece, the designer aspires to evoke emotions of home, childhood nostalgia, and pride for one’s identity.

About the Brand:

Moreya is a bag-shoe label that brings a playful twist in creating versatile nostalgic pieces for the Proud Filipinas by transforming everyday Filipino objects into premium artisan-made wearable designs crafted from a wide variety of materials and techniques rooted in traditional Filipino crafts. Culture and traditions continue to live on through practices and artworks crafted by the hands of local artisans. Every piece is locally handcrafted, many incorporating traditional weaves and/or other traditional methods. Alongside these artisan-made designs is a story that is distinctly Filipino. Currently, the brand actively collaborates with weaving artisans from Abra, wood carvers from Mindanao, and leatherworking craftsmen from Marikina, aspiring to support Filipino artisans by substantially integrating their works, blending heritage quality with modern design. Moreya aims to spread global love for Filipino culture and craftsmanship through wearable art that reminds us of the joys in everyday life.
